We are pleased to announce that the second BETA, version 0.8.5, of the Arduino Launch Control System is now available for downloading. This version of the software has been broken down into multiple sub-sections to make it easier to review the coding. A number of issues have been corrected over the past several months as we went through the BETA testing process. In addition to correcting some bugs the overall size of the program has been decreased and some older, outdated code has been cleaned out as well. The program runs much smoother and is more responsive.
We also updated the earlier Version 0.8.0 release that was posted here to SourceForge. The version originally posted only included the main section of the program, and not the associated sub-sections. That file has been removed and a zip file containing all of the necessary files has been uploaded in its place.
Both version 0.8.0 and 0.8.5 must be unzipped into their own folder before they can be used.
If you are interested in the Launch Control System and how it works, we have been posting a detailed walk through of each section of the code over at the Rocketry Research Journal (https://rocketryjournal.wordpress.com/). The site also has information on getting started with the Arduino among other projects. The walk through begins at https://rocketryjournal.wordpress.com/2022/05/30/designing-and-building-an-arduino-launch-control-system.
As always,we would love to hear your feedback on this project. You can leave a message in the Reviews section or you can email us at austin.aerospace.education@gmail.com
