Hello, first of all I am very very happy about this driver. Thank you. I love arc 88 :) I have two of them but 8ch is ok for me for now. I had the following problems, first of all this is the output of MAKE (using SUSE 10.2 -JACKLAB - with realtime kernel):

Is this ok?
Then I make install and modprobe arc88, the system either hangs or dmesg says everything is ok, even mixer shows the faders, but then no sound and jack shows only two outputs, ...
Hi! The "warning" you get while compiling is ok. Thats because of the realtime-Kernel and should not do any harm. The "segmentation fault" is strange. I can't say where it comes from. Normaly it shouldn't be there, but if you get the arc88.ko modul the "make" should be ok.
On some systems the load of the module will hang, because of the interrupt sharing. So my first advice is to try an other PCI-slot if possible. I'm working on this problem.
About Jack: The arc88 provide 4 stereo channels. So if you start jack with "hw:0" or "hw:0,0" you will only get 2 channels. You need to set up a .asoundrc file like the example in the archiv. Starting Jack with "arc88_8" should give you 8 channels ;-).
