Automated Reverse BLAST
Introduction
Automated Reverse BLAST is an application programme developed to provide users the convenient way in obtaining and verifying the suitability of subjects in protein databases for laboratory experimental tasks. This tool able to BLAST both nucleotide and protein queries into protein databases as it is applying blastx and blastp of NCBI BLAST programmes. The focus of Automated Reverse BLAST is on the non-redundant(nr), swissprot, and reference protein sequence databases. On the other hand, a few most commonly used model organisms are listed as the options for users to select in order to perform BLAST and Reverse BLAST. The Automated Reverse BLAST operates fully relying on internet connectivity and this is to ensure users able to retrieve the most up-to-date information.
