The fact that the following shader compiles without errors is probably a bug:
surface multiple_def() { color f = 1; float f = 1; Ci = 0; }
The resulting VM code seems to be consistent however, and unlikely to cause a crash.

After looking about a bit, it seems that a good place to start fixing this one is at parser.yy:767. The TODO on that line even mentions the problem.
