there is annoying bug (since 0.7 version I guess) that causes GUI to freeze after starting virtual machine.
When pushing start button (machine starts, everything working) and after 1-2 seconds (in AQEMU debug output) I see message:
"about to quit
Quit VNC thread success: false"
And after that GUI is frozen forever. In older version (0.7x) when GUI freeze, also the keyboard was not functional in whole system (no typing was possible in any program), and only switching to console I was able to kill AQEMU (keyboard was then functional again)
In Other->VNC I checked "Don't use embedded VNC Display" but there is no difference.
Configuration of the VM
Embedded display - is a experimental feature. When activated, you should have seen the warning.
To disable the embedded display, select: File->General Settings->Emulator Control Show Mode and select variant without Embedded display.

Thanks, this solved my problem.
By the way, does it should be enabled by default if this is experimental feature?
No, this function is off by default. It can be enabled when in First Start Wizard or in General Settings.
Closing. As Andrej wrote this feature is experimental. Also I can't really reproduce this in 0.9.1, so maybe it was fixed indeed.
