I guess I'm in need of some clarificatin, informatin or a good THWAK. Gateing the new PCSat from 145.825 to the APRS IS with aprsd. The satallite is sending down some 'GPS Engineering' data, that's not in normal APRS format. It's not getting to the IS stream. Am I correct in remembering that aprsd 2.1.4.vk3sb.2 filters out some of what it considers 'bad packets'? If so - any way to make it conditional, maybe filter out bad packets, except those from PCSat? Ideas and/or suggestions welcome. 73 -- /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ | CARC Repeater 146.940 DN62 | | http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RM-APRS | | "The Dungeon" at http://go.to/KC7ZRU | | LINUX user: 227845 http://counter.li.org/ | +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve." - Admiral Yamamoto |

There in lies the problem. On one hand you have the IS fundamentalist chanting "If it ain't AX.25, don't put it on the wire" and on the other HAM purists (experimentation for the sake of experimentation). This is a constant debate on the forums and I'm not sure what the right answer is. Chuck |

Bob must have done something really unusual if 2.14's checks won't allow the packets through. > If so - any way to make it conditional, maybe filter out bad packets, except those from PCSat? Yeah we could probably add that as a new packet type. Probably not in 2.14 though, only in the CVS code. Hamish -- Hamish Moffatt VK3SB <ha...@de...> <ha...@cl...> |
