First off, excellent utility....have always wanted something similiar to linux apt-get for windows.....
I work at a public library and I am testing appupdater to keep critical utilities up to date. I will let you know my progress.
I noticed when running the command appupdater --update, I see a "Warning: Downloading file versions.xml failed". Is this anything I should worry about? I saw another post that mentioned something similiar, but just wanted to make sure that this isnt an issue and that I am not getting the correct updates because of it....
Nothing to worry about as long as you get the other one. It will crap out pretty quick and be pretty useless if you don't get the other one, it won't detect anything, install anything, list anything. You'll know if you are missing your versions.xml file. The reason for the error is backwards compatibility with old versions.
