Great program. But, I've had the same problem with 1.5 on five or six fresh installs:
After 1.5 does it's work - I run it as "applejack AUTO" - from that point on, in about 3 out of 5 Shut Downs, there's a blue screen accompanied by the 'gear' thing. It does about twenty revolutions, then the G4 shuts down. Restarts are never a problem. I'm using 10.4.11. Thanks.
The root problem is an intermittent issue with Intego's VirusBarrier, not AppleJack. Sorry about the mixup. Just wanted to let you know. Thanks.
Thanks for your report, and also thanks for posting the follow up. As usual, due to the extreme variety of people's installed software, and sheer distance from the problem, it's next to impossible to track down these problems, unless they start gaining a critical mass of related reports.
