The 1.5D29 release is almost here, with new apps, such as Deluge, and new functionality, such as external repository download with:

app-get -e (repository) -f (file name)

Update now to latest stable! Notes: The Dev release is not updated yet.

Say goodbye to Beta, Aurora and Nightly Releases! They will be descontinued, and you will not be able to update to them.

Release 1.4 will have a new feature - the Changelog command.

Access it with:

 app-get changelog 

A new way of updating arrived! Update using Personal Updater, and update from a URL you choose!!!!! That way, you are allowed to easily update to a custom release!

Commands:

To update from a non-saved repository:

 app-get update personal (repository) 

To update from saved string (Saved to "C:\winux\bin\app-get\customupdate.txt"):

 app-get update personal saved

A new Aurora version of APP-GET has been released. Get it now!

 app-get update aurora 

From now on, release 1.3D20 is 1.3N2. You can get it with "app-get update nightly"

Due to WGET problems, we have removed JDK from release, but added JRE.

Finally, 1.3D16 was considered to be Stable, and was added to Updates!

The new installer uses 1.3D16.

Build 16 includes bug-fixing from past versions, and a new game - FreeCiv 2.4!

The Error has been fixed only for Nightly Versions! Developer Versions and Universal Versions still do not have been patched!
EDIT: Developer Version has been patched.

Developer versions may not be complete, and features may not work. Nightly will have those features, however, they will not be stable until pass Aurora and Beta Tests.

Release 1.3 Universal of Winux APP-GET is a Universal Dev Release, so you will get it from Beta, Aurora, Nightly, and Dev.

Winux APP-GET 1.3 Nightly Build almost here! With it you will be able to:

• Get Nightly Releases

• Get Aurora Releases

• Get Beta Releases

And, of course, a more extensive list of software will be included!

To get a Nightly-compatible version, install the latest DEV version (by using "app-get update dev") or a stable version past 1.3 .

The 1.2DB9 version of Winux - APP-GET, AKA The Repos Update, was officialy released to Developer Updates. Get it by updating:

app-get update dev

Release 1.2D Build 9 will include (hopefully) the possibility to use repositories. Any software inside official repositories will be downloaded in a generic way. Also, it might be possible to add custom repositories(somewhat similar to the already included custom download locations, AKA "app-get external").

To get any "D" release, use the "app-get update dev" command to get it!
