Hi, The problem is gone when I use Apodora version 1.0.1.15. (originally I used Apodora 1.0.0.1). Regards, Rafal. -----Original Message----- From: apo...@li... Subject: Re: [Apodora-user] explorer help Hi, It's seems that I have similar problem like Juan (similar, but not the same). I cannot see any further messages in this thread so I don't know if there is any solution available. Just in case, Juan did not exposed his Internet camera ... you could connect to https://www.mbank.com.pl/. When you are trying to spy for "Indentyfikator" or "Hasło" fields, ObjectSpy always recognizes the objects as TYPE=Windows. This web page (https://www.mbank.com.pl/) uses JavaScripts and I am using FireFox 2.0.0.8 How to make Apodora working with this kind of web pages [https://www.mbank.com.pl/ is taken just as an example] I would greatly appreciate any help. Juan, There are two possible causes for this. 1 - Are you testing this in Internet Explorer version 7? If so, currently Apodora only supports automation in Internet Explorer version 6. Sometimes the spy works in IE7, but sometimes it doesn't. Plans for proper IE7 support are underway, but it should be quite some time before Apodora can support those (and other) browsers. If possible can you run your automation in IE6? 2 - The original intent of the Spy was to identify HTML elements, but it does have some limited windows application support. It appears that the login box is actually written as a windows application embedded in the web page. Using ActiveX is a common practice for embedding in web pages. It seems more like the second problem than the first. There may be a way to workaround the issue, but it is not documented in Apodora. If you could make the camera publicly available I could take a look at it to see if Apodora can do it. Thanks, Seth Juan Vazquez wrote: > I am giving apodora a spin and have run into a problem. I am giving apodora a spin and have run into a problem. I am trying to automate a Networked camera and need to authenticate before I can get to the control panel. The problem is that the authentication is not a simple web form. When I spy the username and password fields I get the following information: TYPE: WINDOWS Class Title IEFrame 'http://10.20.24.30/home/l4/admin_presetpos.html - Microsoft Internet Explorer' #32770 'Connect to 10.20.24.30' SysCredential '' ComboBoxEx32 '' ComboBox '' Edit '' With the following values in the Memorizer.Maintainer IEFrame http://UrlthatIneedtoAuthto #32770 connect to x.x.x.x SysCredential ComboBoxEx32 ComboBox Edit I was following the tutorial, but I can't seem to get apodora to enter the text and push the submit button.I am using "ExtBrowser" as shown in the tutorial. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. |

Bill, I'm sorry for the delay. I've posted a response to your forum post, and have included the text below. Thanks, Seth ---------- Currently Apodora doesn't properly support Internet Explorer version 7. This is likely the cause of why the spy behaves in this manner. Every single object on a page appears as is it is the <body> tag. You can use the children drop down list to traverse into the HTML DOM of the page and find the objects that you want. This is obviously a little bit more work, but should be adequate until we can support IE7 properly. I posted a problem I'm having with Object Spy after I started playing with Apodora a few days ago and haven't had any replies. Here is what happens... I browse to the tutorial page Then fire up Object Spy Then switch to the tutorial page and click on the Submit button, the object that is returned is TYPE: HTML HTML TYPE: Body Attribute Value INNERTEXT 'First Name: Last Name:' Same thing happens when I click on one of the text boxes. I'm running IE Version 7.0.5730.11 Any ideas on how to spy the objects correctly? |
