    Hi,

We are planning on developing the forms content type further. With a little more work, we think it should cover 80% of the forms use for Camden.

Thus here is a summary list of proposed changes:

    Styling
    - Hide the CSS field
    - Default lenght and width values for text fields, text area in the XSL
    - Fix stlying issues for Form Section item

    Control Issues
    - Answer required field defaults to "yes". Fix this.
    - Add additional control fields

    Email Issues
    - Auto fill label for actions based on the action name, similar to control items.
    - Correctly display results of a multi-select in a templated email.
    - List all the control names usable in a templated email.
    - List form data in the same order as the form items in a Simple email.
    - Remove submit button values from the emails.

    Usuability
    - Allow html in text descriptions and text headings
    - Change Form section selection from drop down to a search & select.

    Additional Development
    - Create PDF document from completed forms.
    - Style the PDF document to existing paper documents.

Please add any other functionality, that you would like to see in the changes? Any other comments/suggestions welcome.

We will be making these changes/fixes available to the whole community.

    Ainga

Hi this topic is quite old but just 1 thing i think should be thought about:

For accessibility automatically whenever someone clicks on a form label it should put the cursor in the textbox etc.
Also maybe option to store the forms data into the database and be able to query this through the back end maybe? for stats, auditing.

      cheers
      Oli
