we did run it in fileinspector, it worked there.

Tomasz forgot to add the stacktrace,
its probably an OSGi classloader issue regarding the RTF components....
it uses some RTF thingy from swing, I think, and then somehow the classloader hangs... afaik

we will try to get a stacktrace to document it.

I could not reproduce the problem with the FileInspector. Can you try 
running fileinspector.bat and dragging the file to it? This way we can 
make sure that it is really the RtfExtractor that is causing the problem 
and not the crawler.

If the problem is reproducible with the FileInspector, please tell us 
which Java version you are using. RtfExtractor uses Java's built-in RTF 
support, so it may be restricted so specific versions of Java.
