#1 update to work with FLTK 1.3

I've tried to build from source a few times and never managed to get it to build on my systems. I finally managed (with some patching) to get this to build successfully and display the GUI using mingw (version 4.6.2) and FLTK 1.3. Would be nice if there was enough interest in this project to get it running again and possibly add some new capabilities or at least fully debug what's there. If anyone's interested in a copy of the patches I needed to get it to build, let me know.
