[Apc-aa-coders] Small bug fix... what's next?

Hi,

I have just fixed a bug reported a few days ago by Jaime Torres on the
spanish users mail list and on sourceforge's bug tracking system:
status_code was missing from the spanish news template slice (bug
918878).

Here is the changelog for sql_update.php3:

Added missing 'status_code.....' field to noticias-es (News spanish template).
Added "fixmissingfields" option to enable fixing slices with missing mandatory fields (currently only checks for missing status_code).
Removed duplicate field 'display_count...' from ReaderManagement slice.

I have some questions about what to do now:

- I could not mark the bug as closed at sf. It only allows me to add
  comments... I guess this is because the bug is not assigned to me. Can
  someone close it?

- Given that this bug affects current installations of ActionApps, and
  that it is not recommended to use the current CVS version right now:
  how can we provide this particular fix to users? Is it worth a "bugfix
  release"? Send the updated sql_update.php3 to the mail list?
