Ok - I found and fixed this problem, the code skipped over the case
of the URL being specified, when it should have just stored it back
to the item.
Note - I notice, that if you enter a URL it does NOT generate
thumbnails, I can't figure out how you would distinguish this case,
from the case where its a URL of an already uploaded file.
