Hi, yes I had some ideas about how to implement the module. It would actually be quite excellent and incredibly usefull if you were able to develop this. I also think it's quite a good project to work on from your perspective, as the aim (or spec) is quite clear, and you won't have to mess around too much with the user interface and other code which may not be very clear. 2 months is quite a tight timing though. But I'm happy to give you a guidiance, to the extent my own knowledge allows. Do you know how the current AA search works ? I wanted to use MnogoSearch as it has some PHP interface. My idea was to create following: - Index page = a special page for mnogosearch where it could index AA items and store them knowing slice id and item id - Extend the conds[] syntax so that it allows submitting fulltext queries - Extend searchlib.php so that it can pass string to mnogosearch query mechanism using the right search domain (particular slice or multiple slices), gather the result (set of item IDs) including the order (sorted by rank) AND carry on processing the normal AA search (if any), but limited to the set of results (IDs) returned by mnogosearch This is just a brief outline, so let me know what you think. You may have different ideas and I'm open to any suggestions. I know this is a quite old document but seemed something interesting to m= e and the professor that helps me. I'd like to know if is possible to implement this maintaining a modular architecture(like the one of the module alerts for example)or is better t= o follow the specification and modify just some scripts. I suggest to use imageCopyResampled in include/imagefunc.php (around = line 110). There is already commented-out line with that function so = change is pretty simple. There are two functions in php for change of image dimensions - = imageCopyResized and imageCopyResampled. While imageCopyResampled = function produces much better quality thumbnails, AA uses = imageCopyResized as default.=20 norbert br...@ch... |

Hi, I have just fixed a bug reported a few days ago by Jaime Torres on the spanish users mail list and on sourceforge's bug tracking system: status_code was missing from the spanish news template slice (bug 918878). Here is the changelog for sql_update.php3: Added missing 'status_code.....' field to noticias-es (News spanish template). Added "fixmissingfields" option to enable fixing slices with missing mandatory fields (currently only checks for missing status_code). Removed duplicate field 'display_count...' from ReaderManagement slice. I have some questions about what to do now: - I could not mark the bug as closed at sf. It only allows me to add comments... I guess this is because the bug is not assigned to me. Can someone close it? - Given that this bug affects current installations of ActionApps, and that it is not recommended to use the current CVS version right now: how can we provide this particular fix to users? Is it worth a "bugfix release"? Send the updated sql_update.php3 to the mail list? Cheers, pep |

Profiles weren't working - they didn't filter at all.
I tracked the problem down to searchbar.class.php3, where it does
list($fld,$search_str) = split( ',', $profile->getProperty('admin_search') );
However the profile is stored with a : e.g. relation........:1234
I've checked the trivial fix back into CVS, but I'm worried that the
problem is at the other end, i.e. that the intention is to store it
with a "," ?
If so, could you fix it there and check into CVS please ....

I've added two files to the distribution... admin/editbrief is based on live_checkbox, but for more general uses. For example - and the reason I built this - I've got a button on a Item Manager that says "Flag messages as handled", this sets a date stamp on a specific set of items, I do this with .... admin/editbrief.php3?edits[123,456,789][date_sent.......]=now()&return_url=index.php3 It is flexible, can take multiple item numbers, multiple fields, and there can be multiple commands on a single URL. The second file I've added - admin/view.php3, this works exactly like view.php3, except that it runs INSIDE the menu interface. So its easy to define a view, and then put a link on for example the item manager that goes to this view. I believe this is reasonable, "[" and other syntactic characters should be expanded. I've fixed a small bug in f_r - RSS tag. It can take parameters (although it's not documented), but wouldn't unalias the first one
when it starts with "{". I've sent it to cvs.

I've been tracking down a weird bug with aliases coming from the wrong slice. I'm doing for example view.php3?vid=47&cmd[47]=x-47-8823 This works fine, even though View 47 is defined in one slice, and item 8823 is found in another (the slices have almost identical structure). BUT ...... The headline _#HDLNLINK is expanded according to the definitions in the slice where view 47 is defined and NOT in the slice where item 8823 is defined. This seems like the wrong behavior i.e. the Alias is a property of the slice which is a property of the ITEM I can't figure out exactly what is going on - its somewhere in the interaction between itemview->get_output and item-unalias, where $CurItem is built artificially, rather than being a real item. I have never been able to figure out this part of the code - and cant' quite understand why the "item" class isn't left cleanly as being based on the item and its slice rather than also what we want to do with it . Is this correct behavior - if not then maybe someone (Honza?) who understands itemview.php3 can fix it? I don't care that much, now I know the bug is there i can work around it. Its really only going to hit big sites which have a number of almost identical slices. Zoltan, were you able to get this to work successfully? I installed wvHtml (http://wvware.sourceforge.net/) and uncommented out in config.php3: $CONV_HTMLFILTERS = array( ".doc" => "/usr/local/bin/wvHtml", "iconv"=> "/usr/bin/iconv" ); define(CONV_DEFAULTENCODING,'windows-1250'); // default output encoding define(CONV_SYSTEMENCODING,'utf-8'); I created a symlink for index.php to index.php3 in /misc/msconvert as you mentioned. That gave me the "DOC import" link beside the text input boxes. I tried importing a document and got an error - "sh: line 1: /wvHtml: No such file or directory". It's looking for wvHtml in the root directory even though I specificied /usr/local/bin as the path in config.php3. So I did another symlink and finally got it to import and convert a test document. It imported the one graphic and converted it to png, putting it in my upload directory (/img_upload). Only problem is the converted html just points to this graphic by name and doesn't prefix the path to it. So I get a nice X instead of a graphic. Another problem is the background color for all my pages is a tan color but the conversion is setting it to white within every <p> tag. So the conversion worked but only half-assed and it looks like crap. Take a look at the config.php3 shipped with 2.6 - that's how I learned about it too :) You need to install utilities like vwhtml and xlhtml on your server - the scripts then call these utilities to do the conversion. But getimagesize tries to ask for *_1.jpg instead... Hi, just upgraded Green Spider to 2.6. I've tried to enable the word/excel conversion. There was a small bug: in /misc/msconvert there's a file called "index.php3", and in the javascript it's referred as "index.php" - I've created a symlink and it works fine, but it should be fixed. Another thing: I'm getting the old "login screen appears again when itemedit.php3 is called" bug again since the upgrade. Not every time, but often. I've searched the list archives, but didn't find the right solution: register_globals is on, magic_quotes is on, file_upload is on, the APC-AA id matches - does anyone remember the solution? thanks, Zoltan. |

I am trying to use Profiles in order to hide some fields from user's = edit form. It works well except for two things: 1. It hides the field, but leaves name of the field in the left column = of the form. It does not make sense and should be hidden as well. 2. When hidding related item window field it displays warning message on = top of the edit form (field is hidden as expected).
