#62 backtrack stack overflow error

I've installed version 2 and am receiving a strange error message. When I log in as a superadmin
and attempt to administer an item, I'm kicked out to the login screen where I am shown the
following error msg:

Warning: backtrack stack overflow: expression generates too many alternatives in
/export/local/apache/phplib/ct_sql.inc on line 137
Parse error: parse error in Eval code on line 1

I am able to log back into the admin pages (which now takes me to the item edit screen) despite
this error and perform tasks on a specific item, but get thrown back to the login screen whenever I
try to administer a different item...even though I'm in the same slice. This also happens whenever
I attempt to switch slices. I'm using this right out of the box, employing the news template in two
slices...so I haven't customized anything.

Any idea what the problem/solution to this error is, and is it even the cause of the problem stated
above?
