This is Ya-Lan, a graduate student at UT.
My system is a charged spherical particle sitting on a charged plate in an electrolyte solution.
I would like to control the surface charge density of the plate fixed and the total charge inside the spherical particle is fixed.
Could I use APBS to solve the distribution of charges inside the spherical particle and distribution of electrolyte ions ?
Could we control the atoms of the plate not move and the particle is always sitting on the plate?
Is it correct that I could set up an input file compsed of everything (i.e. charged plate and spherical particle) which are not independent to each other?
And I think I could use a series of discrete point charges to represent the uniform charged plate. Right?
