I use 5.6.1.  SF has 5.003 or something.  I ran into issues when I tried to
use the "our" scope operator and found it was 5.6 dependent.  So, I ended up
using use vars.  I guess we should decide what version to aim for, but i
think cutting the 5.00x crowd out would be a bad idea.
