Or perhaps it was the fact that I was creating a hollow face - does Polymesh allow hollow faces?
Oh, it looks like I had some sort of degenerate geometry in my mesh. Which I had just created by converting a boolean object to a trimesh, and then to a polymesh, so maybe it was a bug in the conversion? Would you like a scene containing this boolean object?
Any reason I can't directly convert an arbitrary object to a polymesh, BTW? The conversion process fails silently unless I convert to a trimesh first...
This tracker should only be used to report bugs in the core application and plugins that come bundled with it. Francois, the author of the polymesh plugin, doesn't monitor this tracker, so he won't see these reports. Try emailing him directly.
