AODC -An OpenDocument Converter should give Windows user the possibilty to view resp. edit files
in the OpenDocument format even if they haven't an Office Suite with OpenDocument support installed.
This release will fix all outstandig bugs, also the conversation speed and the generated HTML

AODL a .net resp. C# library for generating documents in the OpenDocument format which is the standard document format for many Office Suites e.g. OpenOffice.
From now on, AODL offer full OpenDocument Meta Data support. Inlcude reading and writing. Also this version fix all outstanding bugs. At least the whole library will be load and generate documents a lot faster. See the changelog or the homepage for all changes.

From now on AODL also offer support for Paragraph Header, Table Row Header, better whitespace handling and a new Exporter. With the new HTML exporter loaded or created OpenDocument text documents simply could saved as HTML files. At least the there are several bugfixes and better performance of the document processing.

The release 1.0.5.1 is only a bugfix release which fix the Xml special character exception and offer no new features. All user with an old version should update to the new release.

From now on AODL also offer support for simple Header and Footer, Endnotes and Footnotes. New Pargraph properties border, padding and line spacing. New Text properties position (subscript/superscript), color, background color, shadow, line through and outline. At least some new Helper classes are available Border, TextPropertieHelper.

Embedded OpenOffice .net is available as a .net UserControl. Which let you easily host a full functional OpenOffice instance inside your .net applications. Additional there's the Embedded OpenOffice Visual Studio 2003 Add In available. Which add a tabbed OpenOffice toolwindow to your IDE. Which solve occasionally problems of starting the OpenOffice instance and the repaint problems of the embed OpenOffice instance.

From now on AODL supports also Standard Bookmarks, Bookmark ranges, TabStops with TabStopStyles, XLinks (Web, Ftp, Telnet) and loading existing OpenDocument Textdocuments. Notice, loading documents is still experimental. When ever you use this, you should save the document with a new name.

From this version on AODL support Frames with images and all in OpenOffice available fonts. Look at the snipptes on the homepage snippet section to see how easy it will be to create OpenDocuments using AODL.

These release fixed the following bugs:

- Fixed bug [ 1327809 ] Invalid Cast Exception
Sorry, but the TextDocument throws a Invalid Cast
Exception if you insert a table where one or more cells
contain a List.

- Fixed bug [ 1327820 ] Cell styles run into loop
The cell style names run into a naming loop. So that
all cells of a column get the same names. The app
wouldn't crash and OpenOffice could display the table,
but all cells within a column has the same style
information.

From now on AODL offer support for tables. Check out the homepage for examples.

Now AODL support numbered and bullet styled lists. Also it comes with a better usbality of the paragraph handling. Now, you can add a new paragraph with simpletext with only line of code.

I decided to upload the first version 1.0.0 alpha. Notice that that is an very early version of library. See the roadmap on the project homepage for what is and what is not.

The first Alpha Version of AODL is available via cvs checkout. You have to use Visual Studio 2003 to build the solution.
