#146 Feature - Data integrity verification
Hello,
I've been using this software for a few years now to backup my NAS, works great for striping all my data across a couple 16TB drives. My only concern with my current set up has been with data integrity of the backup drives. What I'm currently doing is maintaining a checksum file from my live data and then periodically using it to verify the data on my backup disks.
It's a bit of a pain to do since the files are spread across two drives, so I have to run a script that detects what files are actually on each drive before running the checksum verification. While it does work, it could be better. I only mention this if you're looking for something to add to Anybackup. If it was able to maintain a checksum list of all the files, and then be able to activate a data integrity check, that'd be very handy. I may take a crack at adding something like it myself, but just thought I'd mention it. Thanks for sharing your work!
