Hi Carlos, It is quite hard to guess what your problem might be regarding getting the research version running. Especially if you have the old version of anuga (and the corresponding python and mingw installation). I would suggest starting with a clean slate. And follow the instructions on the anuga.anu.edu.au site. Indeed I think the cleanest solution would be to create a virtual installation of Ubuntu 12.04 and then install the latest version of anuga onto that machine. But this all does assume some familiarity with Linux.
