I have some queries about boundary conditions...
I have gone through many links for transmissive and dirichlet boundary, and
got nothing but only mathematical equations...
And in manual you specified for transmissive boundary that your flow should
be steady state...
what is meant by steady state... is it w.r.t. depth change over time
criteria or something else....??
1) As I had updated you earlier that I was getting runtime error while
using Transmissive boundary and the response which I got from Ole, he had
mentioned that It can give this error because of numerical instability but
it is useful for some purposes.... so can you (Ole) tell me for which
2) And I want to run my model and let water go outside when it reached at
the boundary of domain so I think dirichlet boundary is better for me that
Transmissive boundary... What is your opinion on this...???
3) what is the effect of x momentum and y momentum in dirichlet boundary
condition's argument list... what is suitable value for these two
And I have a questions about discharge through cross section...
1) I am releasing a constant discharge from upstream and when I am using
get_flow_through_cross_section() function, I am getting different discharge
through different polylines at different places....
I think this is because of triangle formation of mesh across the
polyline... Am I right... or not..??
If not then please explain how it is being calculated... ??
