About AntMatcher Project

AntMatcher project develops tools for automatic recognition of ants. Currently, there is code available for

  • preprocessing ant face photographs into a standardized form so they can be used as training data for automatic tools
  • building a nearest-centroid classifier
  • running the classifier on a web page - an example runs in the AntMatcher page.

The dataset used to create AntMatcher is available via Box.

We created AntMatcher with support from BCH Connecting Scientists 2012 initiative.
