The presence of textual materials in electronic format has made plagiarism easier than ever. Copying and pasting paragraphs or even entire text can now be accomplished with a few mouse clicks.
Plagiarism may be a violation of copyright law and patent law and as such may lead to legal liability. The most commonly plagiarism is expressed in the publication under the name of another product or another's ideas, as well as fragments of foreign borrowing works without specifying the source of borrowing. Sign of plagiarism is the assignment of authorship, as improper use, publication, copying a work protected by copyright, by itself, is not plagiarism, and other kind of violation of copyright law called "piracy." "Piracy" is plagiarized misuse of the results of intellectual work and assigning authorship publishing entity.
When a man stands in front of creative task can never be absolutely certain that he will not copy-paste in some place other people's information, passing it off as his own. Copy-paste is much easier than creative work, so the temptation to cheat is great. This becomes a key issue for business and education.
AntiPlagiarism - software designed to effectively detect and thereby prevent plagiarism. It is a versatile tool to deal with World Wide Web copy-pasting information from the assignment of authorship.
The purpose of this software is to reduce the impact of plagiarism in education and educational institutions.
Program complex AntiPlagiarism consists of three modules:
admin – administrative module. Allows you to gain full access to all information that is being tested, as well as conduct a setup;
client – a client module. Used to enter and analyze information. Provides access to information and analysis on the plagiarism that was introduced only for the data user;
server – server module. This is the server for storing and processing information. The server may be organized as a local and global, to be able to connect to the network of a large number of clients. The number of clients is not limited.
AntiPlagiarism system can be installed on any computer both locally and with the ability to connect to the network.
To install the system AntiPlagiarism need to install Java (http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/). Recommended to install the version of Java SE Runtime Environment 6 (JRE) or higher. To install unzip the file AntiPlagiarism-XX.XXX.zip your hard drive.
The archive contains three directories:
admin – administration module;
client – client module;
server – server module.
In the directory ../server/ contains all the necessary files to the server. To install and run the server enough to install on your computer, which will be the server, only that directory. In the directory ../server/ directory are for storing information and analysis ../server/AntiPlagiarismDB/. It is recommended to install the server on disk with enough free space. Free space can be calculated as follows 1GB = 100000 sheets of A4 size.
3.2 Client module
In the directory ../client/ find all the necessary files for the client part of the system. To install and run the client part of the system enough to install on your computer only to that directory.
3.3 Administrative Module
In the directory ../admin/ find all the necessary files for proper operation of the system. To install and run the administrative part of the system enough to install on your computer only to that directory.
4 Run and using
In the directory ../server/ files are for starting and stopping the server:
These files allow you to start and stop the local server. To configure the server with the ability to connect to it through the network, the files start and stop the server, you must replace the value "localhost" in the value of "IP Address" of the computer where the server will work.
4.2 Client module
Start the client interface is a file AntiPlagiarism_client.bat (*.sh). This file allows you to run the default client interface only locally. If the server is configured to operate in a network then you need before starting to replace the file AntiPlagiarism.properties value "localhost" in the value of "IP Address" of the computer where the server is installed. Then when you explicitly specify a value of "IP Address" in the file AntiPlagiarism.properties client interface will work both locally and across the network.
4.3 Administrative module
Starting the administration interface is a file AntiPlagiarism.bat (*.sh). This file allows you to run the default administrative interface locally. If the server is configured to operate in a network then you need before starting to replace the file AntiPlagiarism.properties value "localhost" in the value of "IP Address" of the computer where the server is installed. Then when you explicitly specify a value of "IP Address" in the file AntiPlagiarism.properties administrative interface will work both locally and across the network.
