I am pleased to announce that Antidote has won the "100% FREE" Softpedia award.
I am also slightly bemused, as I put it on Sourceforge with a view to possibly developing further but never really got around to it and it hasn't been touched in six years.
Antidote, the Open Source ARP Poison Detector, has produced the first publicly available release.
Antidote provides fast, efficient detection of this particularly difficult form of network hacking. Despite this being the first release, it is already reasonably stable and well-featured, having undergone significant amounts of testing.

The purpose of this project is to develop the most stable, reliable and efficient means of detecting such hacking attempts.
It is currently reasonably stable and it does the job with remarkable speed and accuracy. It is known to compile and run on Linux and FreeBSD 4.3. However, it needs a lot more testing from a lot more people before it can reasonably be described as having passed "beta".... read more
