All my Ant/CppTasks follow that model. I have a top-level build which does the Java compiles, and delegates all native library building to sub-builds, using <subant>. Each of the sub-builds usually <import> a generic build file to compile C/C++ code using CppTask, and puts build products into a single library-specific build/ subdir at the top-level. I don't scatter build products in each sub-builds dir, everything is generated at the top-level. A clean build simply wipes the top-level build/ directory before doing its thing.
