Gmail isn't fooled by JAP

When I open the Create New Account page on Gmail, the country dropdown defaulted to my country which was not the country of any of the Mixes. I see the same result on Yahoo. I disabled both Javascript and Java ,deleted all cookies and tried several JonDo services but got the same result.

When I tried the same page with TOR, it defaulted to the country of the TOR relay as expected.

If they can determine my country then is it reasonable to assume they may be able to determine my IP address as well?

      The possible reasons:

      - You used a browser that sends your country language, or
      - you did not configure your browser correctly, and it does not use JonDo at all.

In any case, we suggest you to use JonDoFox instead of a self-configured browser.
