NOTE: This is a very old, buggy, and obsolete pomodoro timer I made before I was a professional programmer. There is a much newer version with both a jar for desktop and an Android app on my github: https://github.com/RS17/AnnoyingPomodoro. Also on the Play store.
This is a pomodoro timer. It has a bunch of options, including:
- Keeps beeping when timer runs out to annoy you into taking a break/starting to work again.
- Ticking noise
- Automatically keeps track of pomodoros completed in records.ini in installation directory
- Customize length of breaks and work sessions
- Can be compacted by pressing +/- button.
- Mute button
- Various other options
I primarily made it for myself so its entirely in Perl and uses a few CPAN modules. This means the executable is rather large and it has a fairly long loading time. But once it's running it does not use much resources.
The default zip has a 32-bit Windows executable, sound files, the config file, and the Perl source.

Great little Pomodoro application. I appreciate the intrusive and obnoxious alarms. It makes them hard to overlook and keeps me on track. A couple of "five-star" improvements: On Windows 8.1, if I put the Annoying folder into the program (x86) folder, Annoying is unable to save changes to options. I believe I would need to give it administrator privileges, which "I would prefer not to." I end up having to copy the config file out of the folder, edit it, and copy it back. A more obnoxious, obtrusive, and annoying visual notification would be handy. I often have my computer muted unless I'm wearing headphone. When I quit Annoying, it crashes. It appears to cause no harm, but is less than elegant. Great application. Thanks Doug
