Hi John,
<gushing>Wow! How is such speed possible? I just
can't believe it's possible to load a dictionary, parse an
email, look up every last word against the dictionary,
add everything up and decide whether the email is spam
or not, all in as much time it takes to hit the Enter key
at the end of the command line! And running through
Cygwin to boot! (sorry for all the exclamantion marks).
What's up with that? Are you sure you didn't leave out a
few sleep() loops by mistake? You get so used to
bloatware these days, it is hard to believe something
can be so incredibly fast and efficient.</gushing>
I'm currently using PopFile, but have been yearning for a
Windows filter --exactly like Annoyance Filter-- that I
can integrate with my mail server. I just have one
question: would you consider implementing a more
flexible system that allows for multiple classifications?
i.e. instead of Junk = True or False, something where I
can set up several classifications such as Spam,
Personal, Subscriptions, SecurityFocus, etc.
I feel this makes for a much more powerful filter, while
still remaining true to its original purpose -- you can still
have only two classifications: Junk and Mail.
What do you think?
Cheers,
