This question also came up at the ACS meeting. ThermoML has provisions for =

errors and uncertainties (in fact, about a third of the ThermoML schema=20
deals with this). We had a brief discussion about this in the committee=20
and judged that at least for the spectroscopic data we do not want to open =

that can of worms (and besides, it is often hard to tell the precision of=20
an instrument anyway).
For parameters, the situations might be different. What do the others=20
think?
