Since most windows users are used to have a close button on the right side of the screen, I'd suggest either moving the close button, or putting another.

You could also leave the close buttons, but make the various windows (tasks, chat, news, whatever) MDI childs (and add minimize|maximize|close buttons as is standard for MDI childs)

    Well, it's true the close buttons don't always have the
    same position in the subwindows.... maybe someday i'll
    put'em in one coherent place ^.^
    as for mdi, i sure won't implement it... if someone makes a
    patch, fine i'll merge it, but i designed AniClient from
    the start to be that way (property pages in a dialog), and
    i don't plan to change that ^.^
