Hi,

you can stop the service with the appropriate management console
(services) and switch the startup type to 'Manual'.
but you should consider that the service can be usefull:
There is also a local user group 'USB-Access' as configured in winset.tpl.
You only have to setup a global user group (e.g. 'USB-Users-GLB') in the
domain and add all users you want to that group. Finally you have to add
that global user group to the local group 'USB-Access'. You can achieve
this with ANI by editing the winset.tpl as follows:

Floppy-Access=anithing
CDROM-Access=anithing
USB-Access=anithing

<domainname>\USB-Users-GLB have access to USB devices.

You can also add users directly to the local group 'USB-Access':
