Hello.
I am trying to generate XML schema from an UML model. I developed
UML model using MagicDraw 16.5, exported as "EMF UML2 (2.x) XMI File".
In the model, I imported module
"andromda-profile-xml-3.4-SNAPSHOT.xml.zip" and applied stereotype
"XmlSchemaType" for my class. Build executes successfully, but empty
schema document is generated (just a schema element, with no complex
types). My class has only this stereotype applied. What I'm doing
wrong? If it helps, I can send you my model as well as andromda.xml.
Sincerely,
Karolis Petrauskas

Hello Karolis, have you tried MagicDraw Code Engineering feature for XML schema generating? Hello Ruslanas.
Thanks for pointing me to MagicDraw's XSD generator. It is quite
good. Apart from generating XSD I wanted to try to use AndroMDA for
code engineering. In near future I am going to develop code generator
for Apache ServiceMix. I'm trying to decide now, witch tools should I
use for this. Is it convenient way to develop model transformations
and code generators using MagidDraw OpenAPI? I just has an opinion,
that usage of external tools like AndroMDA and ATL will be much
easier.

Hello Karolis, I would recommend to use AndroMDA for artifacts generating as in this case you will not depend on particular modeling tool and will be able to reuse existing AndroMDA cartridges. However, MagicDraw might be used for preparing efficient modeling environment for your domain (Open API, custom diagrams, DSL engine, reports templates and so on).
