Android Compatibility Project / News: Recent posts

Having just come from an Android developer conference, two things became painfully clear:

1) Dealing with hardware fragmentation issues prevents the developer from focusing on their real goals.

2) If reflection is the recommended way of accessing features only made available in newer API levels, it should be written once and reused.

Hence this project.

Initial plans for this project are to abstract issues dealing with the camera. This is just a starting point though. We know there are other issues that fall into the aforementioned categories.... read more
