Setting up Windows 7 for 0 Backup

Configuring Windows 7 to receive the backup from 0 Backup is an easy task. The exact steps may depend on your configuration and the specific edition of Windows 7 that your are using, but the following steps will help you.

1.-Find the IP address of your computer

You will need the IP address of your computer to configure 0 Backup. There are many ways to gather such information. For example, open a command line by clicking on Start --> All Programs --> Accessories --> Command prompt:

Then, type ipconfig and write down the shown IP address (in our example, 192.168.0.68):

2.-Create a folder and share it to the network

Right-click on the place where you want to store the backup (for example, MyDocuments or even the Desktop itself; it must be in a directory under your control), select New --> Folder and give it a name (for example phone backup):

By default, if you are in a Home or Work network, Windows 7 shares your data, so this folder will just look like _\192.168.0.68\Users\jsedano\Desktop\phone backup_.

However, in case you need to manually activate it, the following screenshots may help you

3.-Configure 0 Backup

Proceed to 0 Backup - Reference.
