Bible Setup

AnchorCast comes with KJV bundled by default. You can add any Bible translation in JSON format.

Switching Translations

Use the KJV dropdown in the top-right toolbar to switch between installed translations at any time — even mid-service.

Installing Additional Translations

1. Go to Settings → Bible Versions
2. Click Import Bible
3. Select a JSON Bible file
4. The translation appears immediately in the dropdown

Supported formats:

• OSIS JSON
• AnchorCast Bible JSON (same format used internally)

Downloading Bible Files

Several free sources provide Bible JSON files compatible with AnchorCast:

• Scrollmapper Bible Databases — multiple translations in JSON

• Run the included download script:

Searching Verses

In the BIBLE tab at the bottom of the app:

• Type a reference: John 3:16, Gen 1:1, Ps 23, Matthew 5
• Press Enter or click the search icon
• The chapter opens with all verses listed
• Click any verse to preview it
• Press Project Live to send it to the screen

Navigation:

• Use ‹ and › arrows to move between chapters
• Click +Schedule to add a verse to the service schedule

Verse Display

Verses are automatically split into readable slides based on length:

• Short verses: 1 slide
• Long verses: split into 2–4 line segments across multiple slides
• Use ← → to navigate between parts of a long verse
