I have had major issues with installing 2.-04 on an Ubuntu server. There isn't any GUI so I went through the process of setting up an account, based on the xml/sample.xml file. There were 3 fields that are required that the documentation says nothing about. They are:
<endpointdesc>MWS_ENDPOINT_DESCRIPTION</endpointdesc>
<endpoint>MWS_ENDPOINT_URL</endpoint>
<sellercentralurl>SELLER_CENTRAL_URL</sellercentralurl>
Amazon didn't know a thing about it or were to get the info. In the end I had a test server that was running gnome. I installed the AMTU there and configure it through the graphical interface. Then I generated an xml file with the Utilities/configure routine. I took that file and copied it to my life server and ran the Utilities/configure ADD xml/account.xml command. It installed successfully, but, when I start the daemon it immediately quits. In the sys_error.log file it says the account does not exist. If I run configure TRACE it finds the account info just fine.
The bottom line is I don't have a working AMTU on my server and haven't had for 3 days. I have worked out a very cumbersome work around with my test system so that we can keep up with our orders, but I really need a solution soon.
I would greatly appreciate any ideas you may have.
PS
I am running Jave 6v11 on the server
