I actually have an open ticket with Amazon regarding this issue.
It appears that AMTU checks whether a feed is valid or not (in order to send it) by looking for the TemplateType header in the first line of the feed ... that was fine for the older feeds but newer feeds that Amazon created (such as Price & Quantity or Inventory Loader) do not have that particular header as part of their definition.
As a result...AMTU will not recognize these feeds created per Amazon instructions and won't send them.
Amazon's looking to see what they can do to possibly adjust these newer feeds to follow the same header format as the older feeds.
At the same time, does anybody know if changes are still being made to AMTU? The latest version for Windows is from 2007 ... maybe the source can be changed to accomodate these newer feeds by adjusting the logic that AMTU uses to check if a feed is valid.
Does anyone know how to make such a change to AMTU for Windows or can the AMTU maintainers maybe adjust AMTU to add support for the newer feed types?
Thank you.
