Hello everyone, Someone just sent me a correction of langfr, where he had spotted a language key that he considered to be incorrectly used. More specifically, the first menu (in 0.96 RC1 and SVN) is called "Account", but he wanted it to be called "File" so he translated "Account" as "Fichier" (which means "File"). This is wrong for two reasons: First, to keep consistency with the other languages. Second, maybe the same language key will be reused somewhere else, and the result is really unpredictable. So I changed it back (When the menus were reformed, we decided that the first one will not be called "File" because we are not dealing with files anyway). We appreciate it that you try to spot mistakes, but if you find something that you think is wrong, please report it to us rather than changing it in your language only. It's either something that has to be changed in all languages, so we'd LOVE to know, or something that should not be changed in your language either (like now). Fortunately this one was caught, I sent it to Jerome and he spotted this, but we cannot review everything that you send, even if we happen to speak the language (which is seldom the case). So, if there are similar "ambiguous" translations in other langfiles, please change them back NOW, and please don't do this again in the future. Thanx (and sorry for ending up with a long email :)), Vivia |
