When I add a channel with non-ascii-chars in title, stop and restart
Amphetadesk.pl all channels are lost and myChannels.opml is empty.

I am running Linux with CVS-Amphetadesk from 2003-10-08.

Try it out with for example:

    Hi,
I just experienced this problem with 0.93.1 and lost all my
    channels subscription.
The feed that caused the problem is
    http://www.newsisfree.com/HPE/xml/feeds/32/1032.xml
It's in french and has non-ascii characters in its
description. Those characters get into the myChannels.opml file.
I think the encoding of the opml file might be wrong : the
non-ascii characters are in ISO-8859-15 but XML files should
    in UTF-8 by default.

It's OK to reject a subscription because of an encoding
problem, but this should not cause the deletion of all
    subscriptions.

This has been temporarily fixed in the CVS, but I'm sure
Klaus will kick my ass concerning the horrific and ignorant
solution. Please do, and don't hesitate. Keeping the bug
open until a more relevant solution arises.
