I have 2 questions about AMOS and I hope You can help me.
First, I would like to use interabtions of two continuous variables in
AMOS. I create interaction variables as the crossproducts of the two
variables. My main question is: What does the "Estimate" of an interaction
term mean exactly? Is it the same as in linear models in SPSS or R (so the
slope and direction of the connection)? Or is there any different
explanation of it? I try to verify the AMOS interaction estimates with
linear models in R, but I got different results in some cases...
Second, is it possible to use random effects in AMOS? I mean random effects
like in linear mixed models... And if it is possible, can I use nested
random effects? How should I create it?
If it is not possible, what should I use instead?
Thank you for any answer!
