The idea is great. The big drawback is, that the assembly
files are much harder to maintain. I prefer forth source
whenever possible. With the help of Michaels tool it should
be possible to generate asm files on the fly, if desired.

Doing that portably across the various OS'ses is nearly
impossible however. IMHO.
