Download Aleta Icon pack

A Material icon pack for Linux

Aleta is a Modern Material Design Icon pack.

See the image on the "Summary" of this page

Is based on the ameixa icon pack for android, and uses a similar guideline.

additional info:

the icon pack now have >= 292 icons

Installing

  1. Download the icon pack:

Download Aleta Icon pack

  1. extract the .tar file to ~/.icons/

  2. apply it on your desktop settings.

Building

dependencies:

  • inkscape
    to export .PNGs (and make icons, if you want to contribute :D)

  • scour
    simplify the .SVGs, and reduce the size

build:

run ./Tools/rebuildfolders.sh

run mv icons/apps/* icons/apps/
mv icons/places/* icons/places/
mv icons/categories/* icons/categories/
mv icons/devices/* icons/devices/

and then,

if you have a high-res PC:
./export/export-apps.sh & ./export/export-places.sh & ./export/export-categories.sh

if you have a low-end PC:
./export/export-apps.sh && ./export/export-places.sh && ./export/export-categories.sh

and copy (or link) the ameixa folder to ~/.icons/

apply the icon pack on your desktop.

Problems while building:

inkscape: unknown option -e
this happens with older versions of inkscape; you will modify all the export scripts.
simply replace all the "-e" by an "-o".

i recommend to use the lastest version of inkscape.

    open a discussion with your bug, explaining what happened, what you modified, and what scripts you have runned.

    please edit the enlazar.sh script or, open a new discussion with your links.
