#738 Need to do source tree cleanup

Before the distribution we should do a cleanup of the source tree.

Areas that I know have outdated files:
player-iphone - various smil documents used for testing, possibly more
npambulant - lots of turds from older build procedures
documentation - especially in misc and in the test documents there's lots of old cruft.

There's probably a lot more, too.
