    when i try to "make" i get this error:

    [root@linux althea-0.3.4]$ make
    g++ -Wall  -c Althea.cpp `gtk-config --cflags`
    /bin/sh: gtk-config: command not found
    In file included from Althea.cpp:8:
    Althea.h:9: gtk/gtk.h: No such file or directory

      I'm guessing that this has to do with gtk not being installed.  You need gtk installed.  I'm not sure what version but let me know what distro you are using and I can find the rpms or the source or whatever.  Their website is:  http://www.gtk.org  If you are on a redhat, do rpm -qa | grep gtk and you should come up with a couple things.

      If you are absolutely certain that you have gtk installed, check your paths and LD_LIBRARY_PATH.  The path for gtk-config should be: /usr/bin/gtk-config
