BitTorrent launched a new tool which is being a success to sync files between devices, in a encrypted and simple way. It's called BitTorrent sync.

Don't know if it helps, but there is a package for the Synology NAS here:

It has a simple web interface and would be a great addition to Alt-F.

This is a closed source/proprietary program.

Try following their instructions under Alt-F for the distributed ARM binary and report back if it worked.
