I use TrueCrypt to have secure file based filesystems.
I would like to open/mount TrueCrypt containers.
A few info page about it:
https://launchpad.net/~stefansundin/+archive/ubuntu/truecrypt
https://github.com/stefansundin/truecrypt-deb
http://freecode.com/projects/truecrypt-installer
http://linuxg.net/how-to-install-truecrypt-on-ubuntu-linux-mint-debian-fedora-and-opensuse/
There is much dispute around this, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TrueCryp, and
it if now discontinued anyway: http://truecrypt.sourceforge.net/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TrueCrypt#End_of_life_announcement
Anyway, the deb package only allows you to compile the code yourself if you have a debian build environment.
You (me) are not allowed to redistribute compiled code. Looks like it is open source but compiled binaries can't be redistributed, so it's not really free.
