Hey, there and thank you for developing this neat replacement FW.

Now I have a Rev Bx and a Rev Cx of this according to the stickers on product boxes. They are still running the official FW, poor things, something I been waiting to remedy soon as found your project ;)

I think after all these years its time to damm the warranty to hell :D
    yea, haha.

Seriously now, does ALT-F Support the 3 revisions of the DNS 323?

Do I have to reformat drives or will it keep the existing data intact?

After all these years of stardard FW, is there a way to check which
device is which HW revision aside from stickers? I know from product
boxes (Yes still havem) what I have but devices stickers are gone now.

    Thanks

    Hi.

The official Alt-F forum is at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/alt-f, please use it.

This forum is active because of a recent glitch in the Google Alt-F forum, that is meanwhile fixed.

To shortly anwser your questions: yes, it's safe; yes, you rev-C box is supported; yes, your data will be preserved (unless you say to format/partition your disks); to check the box fw look at the box bottom label, H/V ver -- if stickers are not present I guess that in the vendors firmware upgrade page the HW rev- leves is displayed, but that is of no concern, as all DNS-323-rev-A/B/C revs share the same fw file.
